Computer Tablet Class in October

A free instructional class for Gill seniors age 60 and over will be offered in October at the Gill Montague Senior Center. The classes will run four consecutive Fridays, Oct. 2, 9, 16, and 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. Eligible Gill residents are encouraged to register soon by completing the class registration form available now at the Center.

This grant-funded class will provide Samsung Galaxy computer tablets to ten participants for in-class and at-home use. The class will cover basic operation of the device and finding Internet resources for optimum use. Per grant requirements, participants must attend all four sessions to be awarded the device after the last session. The instructor will be Marcus McLaurin of the Franklin Regional Technical School. The program is funded by a grant to the Town of Gill from the Massachusetts Broadband Institute at the Mass Tech Collaborative under the Municipal Digital Equity Implementation Program.
