New Business
- Highway Dep’t topics
- Request to use $43,565 from Gill’s MassDOT Winter Recovery Assistance Program (WRAP) funds to purchase 4-ton trailer mounted asphalt hotbox with accessories
- Request to use approx. $19K - $23K from WRAP funds to purchase 8 loads of road salt before 10/1/26 price increase. (approx. 240-280 tons @ $81.80/ton)
- Balance of WRAP funds after both projects will be $25K - $28K, available for future eligible projects
- Town Hall well pressure tank
- Two instances of no water at Town Hall on 9/1 election day. Problem was pressure switch, which has been replaced. Technician noticed pressure tank is in very bad (rusted) condition and entire tank weight is resting on pipe at bottom of tank.
- Quotes being sought to replace pressure tank and install on-hand whole-building cartridge filter
- Personnel Committee review of job descriptions
- Questions regarding supervisory roles/relationships between Selectboard, Town Administrator, and Department Heads (Police Chief, Fire Chief, Highway Superintendent)
- Other business as may arise after the agenda has been posted.
- Appointments - Kristian Yagovane of Greenfield and Zachary Pyfrom of Greenfield, both as Firefighters through June 30, 2027, both contingent upon receipt of satisfactory results from CORI check, driving record check, and a recent medical evaluation
