3. Old and continuing business
A. RMB oil tanks and quotes for roof repair (Bob); Bob’s Annual Reports notes from the last meeting were copied and distributed to members.
B. Dan Hale’s latest version for the RMB outdoor sign: approved by GHC,
go-ahead reported to Dan (Kit)
C. Museum work this past month: Lynda moved forward on painting bulletin boards in
Room 2 with magnetic paint; Sherry, Becky and Kit sorted milk and other bottles
as surplus, for storage or for display, new bins unpacked for storage of displays
D. Answering GHC inquiries through ghc@gillmass.org to be handled by Becky and Kit; meeting with Ray forthcoming to set up new process.
E. Preservation activities: word search for Gill names and questionnaire (discussion)
F. Donations from the estate of Fred Chase: process paused (but not stopped) due to current issues with the museum. (Bob and Kit)
G. New England Power Company materials (Kit)
4. New business:
A. GHC’s Archaeological Accountability Policy (Sept., 2015) (Lynda)
B. Patents from Gill inventors – a new topic for display (Bob)
C. How should we best use our magnetic paint for displays? (Lynda)
D. Work bees: (1) packing up the Wert display, deciding where it could or should go;
(2) next display to be moved (discussion)
E. Winter issue of the Gill Newsletter: GHC’s entry included two topics: the gift of copies of a lovely book of photos of Gill, and upcoming spring events to watch for that will commemorate the 350th anniversary of King Philip’s War in 1676 (Kit)
F. Switching to winter schedule for GHC meetings: Meetings at RMB from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
