New Registry of Motor Vehicles Reminder Service Available
A new, first of its kind, License/Mass ID Renewal Notification Service is now available to RMV customers. The RMV Reminder Service will notify customers that their licenses/MA IDs are due to be renewed. Customers can join this service free of charge and decide how they want to be notified. They can select one of the following methods:

This service is made possible through a partnership with Sendza, a company that provides secure notification services. The reminder notices will be sponsored, which enables the RMV to provide this service free of charge.

Pistol Permit, Gun Dealership Permit, and Sex Offender Registration
The Gill Police Department holds Pistol Permit, Gun Dealership Permit, and Sex Offender Registration during Officer Schreiver's regular hours (Thursdays 5-7 p.m.), though other times may be arranged. To make an appointment, or for futher information, please leave a message at 413-863-9398.

For renewals, please watch your renewal date. The state is not sending everyone renewal notices anymore. When applying for a renewal, unless you are 70 years of age or older, you are not able to apply for your permit more than 30 days before its current expiration date. if you do, you will lose one year off of your renewed permit. If you apply within that window and before your premit expires, youa re grnated an additional 90-day extension while your permit is in process.
