Community Children's Book Sale - Sat. June 27 @ 10:30 AM

Here's how it works! We have a small number of children's books that we have weeded from our collection. Please cull your own herd at home and bring a blanket and any unwanted children's books and set up on our library lawn. Together we can have a Community Book Sale!!

At the same time, be sure to sign up for our Summer Reading Game and pick up a flyer of family events hosted by Slate Library this summer!

We will make some room on our shelves and you can find new homes for your gently used tomes. Craft activities for kids include designing bookmarks and simple book construction!

Saturday, July 18 @ 10:30 AM - Mad Science – Heroes of Science - Discover how Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, and Daniel Bernoulli changed the world through science – with fun and exciting activities and demonstrations. Explore Superhero Physics – Real or Science Fiction! What are the scientific possibilities behind comic book and real-life superhero powers.

Saturday, July 25 @ 10:30 AM - Animal Adventures - This is Animal Adventures' all-ages program. Come and hang out with an alligator, snakes, skunk, chinchilla, ferret, hedgehog, sugar-glider, and ring-tailed lemur!! Meet the animals, hear interesting stories and information about them and get close. Controlled petting and touching is allowed at the discretion of the Animal Adventure Guide. A fun and unique learning experience to be enjoyed by all!
