Come admire (and purchase) the works of very skilled and talented artists and crafters, and support local agriculture by buying products from farms in Gill and surrounding towns. While at the fair, be sure to sample the Fire Department's fresh-cut french fries. And don't forget to stop at the Friends of Gill's booth to get one of their delicious homemade apple pies!
We look forward to welcoming artisans from around the area to display handiwork and art in a number of media. This juried show offers a unique opportunity for artisans to display and sell their work along one of the busiest fall foliage routes in New England. Thousands of tourists travel through Gill at the height of the season's most vivid colors.
The Friends of Gill strive to provide an excellent venue for skilled artisans to exhibit their work. The Fall Arts & Crafts Festival is widely advertised in the months before the event. Festivities include popular artisans, demonstrations, acoustic music, hands-on activities for our guests and their children, agricultural products grown or made locally, and great food.
The Gill Fall Arts & Crafts Festival is a juried event in order to maintain quality and balance among a wide variety of arts and crafts. We seek fine handcrafted items made by the artist. Goods for second sale, imports, and commercially manufactured kits are not appropriate. Applicants must submit pictures of their work, a sample, a brochure of the items to be sold, or the link to their website if they have not exhibited with us in the past. We reserve the right to select and limit each art and craft category and we will accept applications until we reach a good representation of artists. Applicants will be notified by mail and the application fee will be returned if the application is not accepted.
Artisan setup for the Festival begins at 7:30 AM on the day of the event. The event is open to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM each day, rain or shine, and exhibitors are expected to stay until the end of each day. Exhibitors must supply their own tables and chairs. There are limited exhibition spaces available in the main tent and electrical connections should be requested in advance. Rest rooms and food concessions are available throughout the day. Parking is free.
