Presidential Primary

The Presidential Primary will be March 6, 2012 at the Gill Fire Station, 196A Main Road from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The deadline to register to vote or change your political party for the 2012 Presidential Primary if you are not currently a registered voter is 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. A special voter registration session will be held at the Town Clerk's office for persons who are not currently registered to vote until 8:00 p.m; however you may register anytime before the deadline at the Town Clerk's office.

To register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Gill and at least 18 years old on or before the town meeting/election. You may register in person or by mail (postmarked no later than the final registration date).

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the Presidential Primary is noon on March 5, 2012. You may vote absentee if you are unable to vote at the polls on election day due to (1) absence from Gill during normal polling hours, (2) physical disability prevents you from going to your polling place; or (3) religious belief. To vote absentee at Town Hall, contact my office to vote here at a time arranged with the Town Clerk.

Annual Town Meeting

The opening of the Annual Town Meeting is May 7, 2012, Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall. The deadline to register to vote at the Annual Town Meeting is 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

Annual Town Election

The Annual Town Election will be held on May 21, 2012 from Noon to 8:00 p.m. at 196A Main Road, the Town Municipal Building, in the Fire Station. The deadline for voter registration to vote at the Annual Town Election will be 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at the Town Clerk's office.
