Gill uses a regional building inspection program offered through the Franklin
Regional Council of Governments called the Franklin County Cooperative
Inspection Program. Contact information and applications can be found on the Inspection
Program's website.
Building permits may be picked up in the
Selectboard Office Mondays 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,
Tuesdays - Fridays 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Checks
should be made payable to the Town of Gill. If
plans were submitted with the permit application,
please bring an extra copy for the assessors'
office when you come to pick up your permit; your
permit will not be released without these plans.
Hardcopies of our zoning bylaws are available
in the Town Clerk's office for a fee of $6.50. Or,
you may download
a copy.
The Building Inspector enforces the town's zoning bylaws. If you have any
questions regarding how the bylaws pertain to your property and whether or not
you may be able to build, renovate, or install something on your property,
please ask the building inspector. The Franklin
County Cooperative Inspection Program may be reached at 413-772-2026.
